What Local Home Help is

Local Home Help is a free referral and call-connection service operated by Newport Capital, LLC. Calling a number on the site may connect you with an independent third-party service provider.

Pages describe service categories, states, and city guides. They are general information. They are not a bid, a permit, an inspection, or professional advice for your house. Home insurance pages are not a quote and not an offer from an insurer, broker, or licensed agency. Solar pages do not state savings, payments, or financing terms.

Independent providers

Providers are independent businesses, not our employees or agents. We don't perform, supervise, or guarantee their work. Any agreement for services is between you and the provider. Verify licensing, insurance, and pricing with them directly. Confirm that with the business and with the agency that regulates the trade where the work will happen.

No guarantee of availability

If a page says no professional is listed, that is the whole result. We do not guarantee that a company serves your ZIP code, that anyone will call you, or that a project can be scheduled. We also can't guarantee a provider will be available for every call, ZIP, or service.

Call recording

Calls may be recorded. By calling, you consent to recording where permitted by law.

Inquiries

Provider and contact forms store what you submit and show a reference number. Sending a form does not hire a provider and does not create a contract for home-service work. We may read the inquiry and may later contact you at the email or phone you provided. A provider inquiry is a request to be contacted about receiving customer calls. We do not owe you a placement.

Your submissions

Do not submit information you do not have the right to share. Do not use the forms to send unlawful, deceptive, or automated junk. We may refuse a submission that fails validation, including a submission that trips the automated-submission field. A refused submission is not stored.

Limitation of liability and disclaimers

ZIP prefix matching can point at the wrong community when a prefix crosses a line. Pages can change or be removed. To the extent the law allows, Local Home Help and Newport Capital, LLC are not liable for work performed by an independent provider, for a policy you buy from an insurer, for a missed or unanswered call, or for decisions you make from general information on the site. Some states do not allow certain limitations, so part of this section may not apply to you.
